“Elvis Presley - Prince from Another Planet” on Artist Spotlight

In June, 1972, Elvis Presley played Madison Square Garden in New York City.  The New York Times described Elvis as “a prince from another planet… the only one in his class”.  In this one-hour radio special, host Eric Chase takes us back to 1972 with interviews with band members James Burton and Glen Hardin along with contemporary accounts from journalists and audience members.  The interviews are mixed with tracks from the concerts.

The special will be featured on the next episode of Artist Spotlight. Artist Spotlight airs Saturday mornings at 7:00 am with a rebroadcast Sunday evening at 6:00 pm.
